First year activities (2004)

  • Developing a methodology for analysing and comparing programmes as well as identifying common elements and areas of specificity and diversity

  • Identifying and promoting examples of good practice

  • Collecting and exchanging information in relation to existing curricula and developing a model curriculum structure for each area

  • Discussions about quality control and European accreditation in the four outlined areas

  • Initiating an electronic communication environment and a service database

Second & third year activities (2005-2006)

  • Enhancing the methodology for comparing and analysing programmes of all partners in all countries

  • Adapting and using the “Tuning Methodology” for sport science, especially regarding generic and subject specific competences

  • Identifing and mapping of trends in curriculum reforms and of trends in the job market related to societal changes

  • Developing a model curriculum structure for programmes in each area, including:

    • A detailed overview of curricula

    • An overview of how the curricula reflect the changing employment market

    • An overview of how the curricula reflect the key principles of the Bologna Declaration

    • An overview of the impact of ICT within the different curricula.

  • Enhancing and optimising the communication tools (specific dedicated intranet)

  • Testing the web database for storing and searching all information needed

  • Initiating a first internal evaluation of the objectives including an evaluation of the impact and the added values of the project
